Recommendation: Always test your nutrition and caffeine intake in training. That way you can check how the individual products, timing and energy amount suit you during the run. The half-marathon pack also exists in HD 500 / HD 1000 (milder) and HD 2000 (strongest) variants.
- Supports optimal hydration, sodium levels, energy and mental sharpness.
- Helps reduce the risk of dehydration, energy drop and issues linked to insufficient fluid and electrolyte intake.
- Nutrition values for each product are on their product pages.
Usage
- The day before the race: Mix Hydration Drink HD 1500 at 20 g in 0.5 l of water and sip it gradually through the afternoon. Goal: replenish sodium and minerals, support hydration and reduce the risk of cramps.
- Race morning: Drink FuelDrink steadily from breakfast until 45–60 minutes before the start. Gradual carbohydrate intake helps keep steady energy without unnecessary stomach load.
- 45–60 minutes before the start: drink HD 1500 from the pack. If you need milder hydration, consider HD 500 or HD 1000; for maximum sodium losses consider HD 2000.
- 20–30 minutes before the start: take Ignition Gel — support for focus, alertness, mental sharpness and a smooth energy onset.
- During the race — around km 6–8: take 1× FuelGel.
- Around km 14–16: take 1× FuelGel Caffeine. Alternatively a regular FuelGel if you do not want caffeine.
- Handle hydration at aid stations, ideally with plain water.
- Summary: the day before replenish sodium and minerals (HD 1500), in the morning top up energy steadily, before the start activate the nervous system, and during the race use two targeted gels.
- If you run slower or expect a longer time on course, we recommend adding a few extra FuelGels to your cart.
- More detail on dosing is in the article Carbohydrates, caffeine and taurine: everything you need to know about dosing.
